Firstly – review your assessment
As incredulous as it might seem, errors do happen, and simple mistakes such as sending you an assessment for your neighbours property are not unheard of. So enure you review your Property Assessment Notice carefully, and look over all those pertinent details on the front page to ensure they are correct. Both the address of the property as well as the market value should be checked over for accuracy. Your notice will show you the market value of your last assessment, and any improvements made as of July 1 of the previous year. It will also list classification of the property, as well as any exemptions that may apply.
Secondly – if you still have concerns, consult an expert
